Raja PETRA is free to return to writing - Malaysiakini

Malaysia Today blog operator and editor Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin who was released from detention under the Internal Security Act (ISA) on Friday, is free to return to writing.

However, stern action would be taken if he is found to have broken the law through his write-ups in the future, Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek said today.

Other people who felt they had been defamed by his writing also had the right to institute legal proceedings, he told reporters here.

The Shah Alam High Court freed Raja Petra on Friday after holding that the grounds for his detention did not come within the scope of Section 8 of the ISA under which he had been detained.

Shabery said the government had never stifled media freedom or an individual’s freedom of expression and action would only be taken if laws had been broken and there were threats to national security.

Stronger UMNO ELECTIONS malaysiakini

UMNO ELECTIONS

1. The whole country is watching the nomination of candidates for the UMNO Supreme Council. The decision of Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi not to defend his Presidency of the party is what has kindled the unprecedented interest in who will head and run UMNO. This is because until now it is expected that the President of UMNO will become the next Prime Minister of Malaysia. If the UMNO electorate fails to deliver a good and honest administrator, then the country would be in for another period of instability and economic regression. No Malaysian would want to see that. In desperation they might opt for the opposition at the next election. And that would not be any better. In fact it would be worse than the incompetent present incumbent.

2. For UMNO the next four years would be crucial. If whoever becomes the new President fails to revive the party, it would be the end of the road for this longest surviving fighter for national independence. If this were to happen then the incoming leadership of UMNO will go down in history as the betrayers of this once glorious and powerful political machine.

3. UMNO had adopted the democratic system apparently to ensure that betrayers of the party would be removed and replaced by better men. But clearly UMNO democracy has not always worked. Many have reached the top through false pretences. Once there they make use of their position of power to prevent democracy from safeguarding the party. By dishing out lucrative jobs and titles, by abusing the authority conferred on them, by threats of all kinds, these pretenders have been able to stop attempts at their removal, at least for quite some time.

4. The assumption of the self-serving leaders is that if they could control the division leaders through bribes and threats, their hold on the party would be ensured. Such was their stranglehold over the party that it seems the party was solidly behind them. They could do anything and they would be assured of loud approbation and support.

5. But their assumption was wrong. The division and branch leaders may kowtow to them but the rank and file and the non-member supporters proved to be recalcitrant. Unable to speak up or to criticize the leadership they decided to vote for the opposition.

6. Thus in the March 2008 Elections the Barisan Nasional Party and UMNO suffered heavy losses. The leadership refused to accept responsibility for this debacle, even claiming victory because they have enough seats to form the central Government.

7. In disgust the disaffected electorate delivered a stunning blow in a crucial bye-election, which saw the once powerful UMNO and Barisan Nasional totally cowed, scared even to display their party colours.

8. At last a few daring members of the UMNO Supreme Council decided that it was enough. The President must be forced to resign. And so Dato Abdullah after much delay announced his decision not to contest for President of UMNO and therefore his traditional right to be the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

9. That is the critical first stage. Now for the new President and Prime Minister. There are only two candidates. But to date only Dato Najib Tun Razak has received nomination for the post. Clearly he is the front runner. As expected the work of demonising him has begun. How he handles this would indicate the quality of his leadership.

10. In the meantime the nominees for the other posts are being named. If the Government of Najib is to be different from that of Abdullah, then Abdullah toadies must not be in.

11. So far it is unclear as to whether the UMNO divisions will back those opposed to Abdullah or his people. The lead taken by Muhyiddin Yassin seems to indicate that the critics of Abdullah are favoured. Rafidah, reputedly the most vocal critics of Abdullah seems still to get the support of Wanita. That could end the ambition of Azalina one of Abdullah’s and Khairi’s most ardent supporters, if Rafidah’s promise to appoint Sharizat as Wanita Chief when she resigns is honoured.

12. Shafie Afdal, one of the most strident voices urging Abdullah to step down is likely to win enough nomination for Vice President. But the divisions seen to have forgotten the role played by Rais Yatim, who as Minister who was not afraid to air his views on Abdullah mismanagement.

13. Important though the nomination by the divisions in qualifying a candidate to contest for positions in the UMNO Supreme Council; they do not have the final say. That lies with the delegates attending the AGM.

14. In 1987 when Tengku Razaleigh contested for Presidency against me, I had more than three-fourth for the divisions nomination. But I only won by 43 votes cast by the 2500 delegates from the divisions. Obviously the delegates to the AGM did not vote according to the decisions by the divisions.

15. It behoves those contesting not to be too confident they would win simply because they have received the highest number of nominations by the division. Lots of things can happen when the AGM is held in Kuala Lumpur. I will not be surprised to see a lot of money flow, and a lot of minds changed.

16. In the 1987 elections there was a break for Friday prayers during the voting. It is believed that many delegates were approached during this break and persuaded by one means or another to ignore the decisions of their divisions and to vote for someone else.

17. For this reason there should not be any interval in the voting. If necessary it should not be held on Friday. It is however important that the voting be on the first day of the assembly.

18. As I said the country is watching this UMNO Elections with bated breath. If the UMNO divisions and delegates allow their greed to overcome their better judgement then it will be the last time they would be the king-makers in Malaysia.

19. I am reminded of the greed of a kampong Malay who used to collect “buah keranji” in the forest to sell to the Thais. It was tedious work, as the trees were tall and there were plenty of ants.

20. Impatient with the difficulties he encountered, the “keranji” collector chopped down the tree. And that was the last time he made money from collecting “keranji”.

21. Perhaps the English educated prefer the goose that laid the golden egg.

22. Whichever, the lesson to be learnt is the same. Sell your vote today and that will be the end of your UMNO politics.

Dr Mahathir UMNO in Malaysiakini

LITIGATION

1. Malaysian politicians seem to be resorting to litigation in order to gag their critics and detractors.

2. When I was PM and Anwar Ibrahim was being tried, he sued me for 100 million Ringgit for some statements that I made. I had to find lawyers to take up my case. Fortunately I won. Otherwise I would have been bankrupted.

3. When the press asked me about Anwar’s acquittal I pointed out that though the two judges in the Appeals Court cleared Anwar on the basis that the complainant was not a reliable witness and that the “event” did not take place on the date as reported in the charge, but they still said they believed that Anwar did indulge in sodomy.

4. Of course the third judge concluded that Anwar was indeed guilty of sodomy.

5. The press reported my answer. Following that Anwar sued me again for 100 million Ringgit and again I had to employ lawyers to defend me.

6. It is now three years since the suit and I don’t know whether it is sub-judice or not but I am scared to talk about it. Effectively the suit has gagged me. It is no different from being censored by the Government.

7. If eventually the court decides that I am not guilty I suppose I am entitled to be compensated for the cost incurred. But I don’t think I would be paid.

8. On the other hand if I lose I would be made a bankrupt.

9. The amount that the litigants sue for is usually extremely big, running into one hundred million even. The litigant knows the person he sues would not be able to pay. But that doesn’t matter. It would deter him and others too from exposing his (litigant’s) misdeeds in the future.

10. I get a feeling that the court is being made use of by these politicians to hide their misdeeds and to prevent them from being made political issues.

11. I feel sure we will be seeing more suits by politicians in the future.

Viva Malaysian politics!!

Beijing Tourism Bureau

There are plenty of rooms available for the Beijing Olympics with domestic visitors being counted on to make up for an apparent absence of foreign guests.

Xiong Yuemi, deputy director of the Beijing Tourism Bureau, said Tuesday that 45.5 percent of Beijing’s four-star hotel rooms had been booked for the Olympic period. Bookings in hotels with three-star ratings or below were also under 50 percent, though Xiong didn’t offer specific numbers.

She declined to tie the vacant rooms to new visa controls and bad publicity surrounding the games, which open in 3 1/2 weeks. The games are supposed to showcase a new China, but they are also exposing facets of the authoritarian state that has run the country for almost six decades.

“This is within our expectations,” Xiong said of the occupancy rate.

She said the rate at five-star hotels, many of which are booked by Olympic officials, sponsors or national delegations, was 78.1 percent. All occupancy rates were calculated at the end of June, Xiong said. She said the five-star rate for the same period a year ago was 69 percent.

About 500,000 foreigners are expected to attend the games.

“There are still many domestic ticket holders who haven’t booked hotels yet.” Xiong added. “When the games start, the actual occupancy rate will be higher than the current reservation rate.”

The Aug. 8-24 Olympics have been beset by negative publicity for months, beginning in February when Steven Spielberg declined to work as artistic adviser for the opening ceremony, citing China’s policies toward Sudan and Darfur.

This was followed in March by deadly rioting in Tibet, subsequent chaotic pro-Tibet rallies on international legs of the Olympic torch relay, and a deadly earthquake in Sichuan that killed just under 70,000. In addition, concerns about Beijing’s chronic air pollution has prompted many athletes to train outside the country and enter just before their events begin.

Shaken by the rioting and protests, China has ratcheted up security for games. The communist government has reported breaking up plots to attack the games by Islamic radicals in the western province of Xinjiang. In a show of force, China’s military has stationed a ground-to-air missile battery just 300 meters (yards) from one Beijing Olympic venue.

Sun Weide, a spokesman for the Beijing organizing committee, said security measures followed past Olympic practice. He said the same was true of new visa rules, which have particularly targeted students and made it difficult for some people with tickets to stay in the country.

“Chinese authorities have made some arrangements on issuing visas to foreigners, which is in accordance with the practice of past games and Chinese law,” Sun said. “The aim of the visa policy is to guarantee the safety of participants in the Olympics. We’ll take all necessary measures to host safe games.”

Sun was echoing China Vice President Xi Jinping, who is expected to eventually succeed Hu Jintao as president.

“A safe Olympics is the biggest indicator of the success of the games,” Xi said earlier this month in a speech at the Great Hall of the People, seat of China’s legislature. “A safe Olympics is also a key indicator of the positive reflection of our nation’s image.”

Anuar Ibrahim sexual acts Malaysia

50 REASONS WHY ANWAR IBRAHIM CANNOT BECOME THE PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA
(From the book by Khalid Jafri originally written in Malay. This book is now banned in Malaysia. Now translated into English.)
THE PROPHECY

Khairuddin Abu Hassan is the cousin of Anwar Ibrahim, while the late Sulaiman Palestine was his uncle. Sulaiman Palestine was one of the founding fathers and the fourth longest UMNO member. He was one of those UMNO veterans responsible for inviting Anwar into UMNO and shaping his political career. Khairuddin once said that before Sulaiman passed away, he left a prophecy. The prophecy says that Dr. Mahathir shall not appoint Anwar as the Prime Minister of Malaysia. As long as Anwar is in UMNO, the party will be in jeopardy. Dr. Mahathir was instead asked to appoint Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (Foreign Minister) or Sanusi Junid (Chief Minister of Kedah) as Prime Minister if Dr. Mahathir wishes to save UMNO, the Malays and the country.

ANWAR IS NOT WITH VISION 2020

After five years of being the Deputy Prime Minister and UMNO Deputy President, Anwar Ibrahim now pose a new dilemma in the party and the country’s leadership.

Anwar’s failure to tackle the economic issues since he assumed the Minister of Finance position five years ago, is becoming clear to the people that he cannot be entrusted to follow through and make Vision 2020 concept a success for the country and its people.

Instead of doing his job, Anwar interfered with the Prime Minister in other administrative matters that are way outside his jurisdiction and responsibility.

It is as if Anwar wants to challenge the extraordinary capabilities of Dr. Mahathir, his brilliant leadership, his futuristic vision and his abilities to expertly handle national and global issues.

Due to the persistent failures of Anwar in the past five years, Dr. Mahathir deserves the opportunity of a new deputy and successor.

As such, leaders and UMNO members who are concerned about the party’s struggles must demand that the Deputy Prime Minister and the UMNO Deputy President be replaced to a leader who is more productive, not power and money crazy and not behave as if he is already the Prime Minister.

In short, moral obligations must be taken into consideration besides other values like sincerity and honesty of the leader.

The wave of change must however be about the conscience of the party continuity and ingenuity. It is up to UMNO members to find the right solution. This is important since the responsibility to handle the change in leadership is solely for the UMNO Deputy President and Deputy Prime Minister position.

As the backbone of Barisan Nasional, UMNO is responsible to formulate a meaningful destiny. This can only be achieved if all parties are sincere and willing to accept the fact that the number two leader which was chosen five years ago cannot be entrusted upon to preserve and protect the religion, the party, the people and the country.

Otherwise, internal conflicts will always exist and the commitments to the country’s bright and successful future under the leadership of Dr. Mahathir will be tarnished and destroyed by Anwar whom we have put our trust without knowing the factual truth about his background.

Actually UMNO members do not know much about Anwar. He is still regarded as an outsider and his sudden appearance in UMNO attracts lots of bad interpretations. Anwar’s arrival as an UMNO leader is just like the emergence of Tun Perak in the Melaka Sultanate during the rule of Sultan Muzaffar Shah in the 14th century.

In the beginning, Tun Perak was only the administrator of the Kelang territories representing the Sultan of Melaka. Later he became the Deputy Prime Minister in Melaka. The Prime Minister at the time was Bendahara Seri Nara DiRaja. Tun Perak however, wished to seek more power and authority although he was already in a very high position in the Melaka government.

Tun Perak created conflicts among the people, other ministers and the Sultan so that they disliked Bendahara Seri Nara DiRaja. At last, after all the conniving, he succeeded in overthrowing the Prime Minister and became the Prime Minister himself.

The struggle to make Vision 2020 a success is a struggle that require a very important change in the country’s political leadership. Otherwise, all efforts towards this struggle will be doomed to fail.

The majority of the population realizes that in order to achieve Vision 2020, it requires change in perception, attitude, values, decision and action in every aspect of social, economy and politics. This change will make the population more positive in their perception, possess good moral values, more caring, make good decisions and judgments and more dynamic in their actions.

These changes give a psychological impact towards the success of Vision 2020. Now, the majority of the population, the leaders and UMNO members subscribe to these changes as a prerequisite to the success of Vision 2020.

Due to this, UMNO members make spontaneous demands for Dr. Mahathir Mohamad who coined the Vision 2020 idea and concept, to have a successor who is dynamic, progressive and can uphold the vision of the people, religion and the country.

Anwar, when offering himself for the Deputy President’s post five years ago said, “I shall abide by the party’s vision to upgrade the well-being of the people through the Vision 2020 concept in concurrence with the changes within UMNO”.

Anwar not only disappoints the people by engaging in immoral activities but also distanced himself from the Vision 2020 concept. He seldom speaks about Vision 2020 since he became Deputy Prime Minister.

THE 50 REASONS

         1. VENGEANCE

Anwar Ibrahim possesses vengeance against not only his enemies but also his friends. He holds never-ending vengeance against Sanusi Junid (Chief Minister of Kedah), Rahim Thamby Chik (former Chief Minister of Melaka), Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (Foreign Minister) and many others making him unpopular as a leader.2. REBELIOUS

His ‘go against the leader’ attitude is his norm eversince he became active in UMNO in 1982. In the same year, he challenged Suhaimi Kamaruddin for the post of UMNO Youth Chief.

    3. DIVIDE AND RULE

This is Anwar’s strategy to grab power within UMNO and the government. He conspired and created chaos in UMNO Kedah in order to prevent Dr. Mahathir from appointing Sanusi Junid as the Chief Minister of Kedah. He also forced Rahim Thamby Chik to resign from his Chief Minister of Melaka position.

    4. FALSE SWEARING

Anwar bravely swore that he would not challenge Ghaffar Baba for the post of UMNO Deputy President. It was proven to be a lie.

    5. DESTROY MAHATHIR

Anwar vowed to destroy Dr. Mahathir in front of the late Haji Sulaiman Palestine because he was detained under the ISA when Dr. Mahathir was Education Minister.

    6. DOES NOT PRACTICE WHAT HE PREACHES

Lying is part of Anwar’s leadership qualities. He said he was anti money politics when in fact he was the leader of money politics during the UMNO Deputy President elections in 1993.

    7. FATHER OF CORRUPTION

Corruption is at its highest during Anwar’s tenure as the Finance Minister. So much so that people call Anwar the ‘Father of Corruption’.

    8. BROKEN FAMILY

Anwar comes from a broken home. His father, Ibrahim Abdul Rahman, took his maid as his second wife. Anwar’s mother, Hajah Che Yan, was so emotionally distressed from this until she is paralyzed. Anwar’s brother, Mokhtar, was a drug addict. Anwar’s family, which was poor then, is now very rich and living in extravagance during Anwar’s tenure as Finance Minister.

    9. ELOPE

Anwar eloped to Thailand with Azizah since he could not get the blessing of Azizah’s father, Wan Ismail, to get married. Wan Ismail hated Anwar so much that he took his gun to chase Anwar out of his house. In the end, Azizah’s mother took the initiative to legally marry them again at their home in Bukit Mertajam.

This attitude proves that Anwar will disregard the law, family, culture and Islam as long as he can get what he wants.

    10. SODOMIST

Everybody was talking about Anwar performing sodomy on his driver, Azizan, when the secret was out. However, Anwar’s hobby on sodomy is not new. It began when he was still in secondary school at the Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) and in college at University Malaya (UM). A lot of people would want to come forward to tell all. Just wait and see.

    11. ADULTERER

The sister of Mohamad Azmin Ali (Anwar’s private secretary), Ummi Hafilda Ali, told the story about Anwar’s sex scandal with Shamsidar Taharin (Mohamad Azmin Ali’s wife).

    12. BORE ILLEGITIMATE CHILD

An illegitimate child was born by the name of Afifa as a result of the sex scandal between Anwar and Shamsidar.

    13. A CHEAT

Anwar not only have been cheating on his wife but is also a homosexual.

    14. AGGRESSIVE

The name Anwar Ibrahim itself portrays fighting and warring (AN-WAR). As such, he is fond of creating chaos, crises, conflicts and wars.

    15. A RELIGIOUS FAKE

During his leadership of the ABIM movement, he used Islamic principles as his strong fundamentals to achieve his political ambitions.

However, after he joined UMNO, all those principles and Islamic struggles were actually pretences and fake. Anwar became an infidel when he gave Friday sermons and led prayers when he himself was full of sins. On many occasions, he did not only utter the Quranic verses wrongly but were also seen wearing silk clothing, which is prohibited in Islam, when leading prayers.

    16. DOOMED BY GOD THE ALMIGHTY

God the Almighty will not bless Anwar, for all his terrible sins. He will not be able to administer the country properly since God already dooms him.

    17. BELITTLE UMNO

When Anwar was the leader of ABIM and a student, he loudly despised and belittled UMNO and its leaders but not long after that he praised those that he despised.

       18. LEADER WITHOUT VISION        Anwar is a leader with no vision. His vision is only on bad intentions such getting himself rich from
corruption, power takeover through UMNO and homosexuality.

       19. ABUSE OF POWER

Although Dr. Mahathir is the Prime Minister, Anwar ignored him and portrayed the image as if he is the Prime Minister. For instance, Anwar acted unilaterally on foreign policy matters which foundation has been laid correctly by Foreign Minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Due to this, there were differences in the government’s stand on foreign policies between Dr. Mahathir, Anwar and Abdullah. Anwar uses government machineries as tools to achieve his own political ambition.

    20. PUPPET OF THE UNITED STATES

A lot of people were shocked when Anwar was accorded a red carpet treatment complete with a 21-gun salute by the Americans as if he is the head of state when Anwar visited Washington DC. Dr. Mahathir was never given this special treatment although he is the head of state.

Similar special treatment by the Americans was also accorded to Boris Yeltsin while Gorbachev was still the President of the Soviet Union. Not long after that, Soviet Union disintegrated and Boris Yeltsin became the new President.

Is the United States planning the same for Malaysia? The Malaysian people can make many conclusions on Anwar’s special relationship with the United States. Is Anwar an agent of the CIA?

    21. RIBA

As Finance Minister of Malaysia, Anwar failed to defend the previously excellent economic status of the country. The economy continues to plunge. But surprisingly, the Americans still regard Anwar as a brilliant economist.

Recently, Anwar was appointed as Chairman of the IMF Development Committee. IMF is the American financial institution that gives out loans to countries facing economic problems such as Indonesia, Thailand and South Korea. The loans were given out with very strict conditions specially designed to suffocate those countries. So, Anwar is party to the practice of ‘riba’ in the IMF which is forbidden in Islam. Anwar can never make the IMF practice Islamic banking as practiced in Malaysia.

    22. LIAR

Anwar is a chronic liar. He claimed that ABIM was founded by him and the word ABIM came from the abbreviations of his name. The fact is Sanusi Junid and Professor Nawawi Ghazali founded ABIM. Nawawi was its first president while Sanusi was the deputy president.

    23. ABIM

Before Anwar left ABIM for UMNO, he swore that he would make UMNO an ABIM organization. No wonder many ABIM members are now in UMNO holding important positions such as Chiefs, Deputy Chiefs and Committee members in UMNO divisions and branches throughout the country.

    24. PARTY ’46 REJOINS UMNO

Anwar opposed the rejoining of Party ’46 to UMNO, which was headed by Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah. Anwar took every effort to prevent any Party ’46 members from holding high positions in UMNO.

As a leader, it is unbecoming of Anwar to do this since Party ’46 is sincere in dissolving their party to rejoin UMNO.

       25. BRINGING DOWN UMNO LEADERS        Anwar will find ways to bring down and remove whoever is regarded as politically strong in UMNO so that
his men will replace them. Among his victims were Ghaffar Baba, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Sanusi Junid,
Rahim Thamby Chik, Mohamad Taib, Anuar Musa and Daim Zainuddin.

       26. DISRESPECTFUL

Ghaffar and Dr. Mahathir were among those who founded UMNO in 1946. After years of championing the UMNO struggles, it is only fair that Ghaffar deserves the Deputy Prime Minister’s post. But Anwar, who had just joined UMNO, became UMNO Deputy President and Deputy Prime Minister by destroying other leaders who have done a lot for the people and the country.

Anwar is disrespectful of these leaders.

    27. A HYPOCRITE

Anwar is a hypocrite and as such made many mistakes which made him an unsuitable leader.

    28. A HOMOSEXUAL

God the Almighty forbids homosexuality. As a homosexual, Anwar’s character, personality and behavior are questionable since he is a sinner.

    29. A SNOB

Eversince Anwar became a Minister, he has forgotten his Islamic ideals and struggles. His ideals and principles now are completely the opposite. If he can, he hopes to have an autocratic power and regime.

Once when Anwar was the Education Minister, he was invited to officially open a primary school in Masjid Tanah, Melaka. But sadly, Anwar said, “Why should I come?”.

    30. CONTRADICT THE PRIME MINISTER

Although Dr. Mahathir is still the Prime Minister, Anwar behaves as if he is already the Prime Minister.

Dr. Mahathir’s statements regarding certain projects or issues were frequently contradicted or even denied by Anwar.

    31. CONTROL THE MEDIA

Anwar effectively controls the local media namely Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian and TV3. Anwar’s speeches were often front paged by these newspapers while Dr. Mahathir’s, although makes more sense, were placed inside.

    32. VICTIMIZE

Through these media, Anwar victimizes other leaders by harping on their ugly sides and not giving them the opportunity to defend themselves.

For instance, Rahim Thamby Chik was clearly accused by these media for corruption and having sex with a minor although he was never convicted in the courts.

    33. FLAT FOREHEAD

If one were to observe closely Anwar’s forehead, one would see that he has a flat forehead. According to “Fung Shui” predictions, those with this physical feature will never become a great leader or the number one man in a country.

       34. WAVES        The book entitled “Waves” written by Anwar portrays his life as constantly wavy and unstable.

       35. FALL OF THE RINGGIT

Prior to Anwar becoming the Finance Minister, the Ringgit stood at RM2.20 to US$1. But now, the Ringgit plunged to RM3.90 to US$1. The price of daily essentials soared up to 60% higher as a result of the drastic fall in the value of the Ringgit.By Anwar being appointed as Chairman of the IMF Development Committee, it should influence the rise of the Ringgit not the continued plunge.

36. THE NATION’S LOSS

The continued economic slowdown is the result of the loss of up to RM12.8 billion by Bank Negara in currency trading. Bank Negara should not be involved in currency trading but should protect the country’s reserves.

Bank Negara was regarded as the “Big Bully” in currency trading until it incurred huge losses. Currency traders in Europe and the United States disliked the role that Malaysia played. They decided to retaliate and targeted the Ringgit.

As Finance Minister, Anwar told the people that the huge losses were only on paper. This is the capability of our Finance Minister who had no knowledge and is so inexperienced in economic matters but entrusted to safeguard the country’s wealth.

37. EDUCATION

Anwar Ibrahim only holds a degree in Malay Studies from University Malaya. He failed the first year. As such, he has no idea at all about business and economy. He cannot be relied upon to administer the country’s finances.

38. NEPOTISM

From a poor family, Anwar’s father, Ibrahim is now a very wealthy man until he wishes to marry a third wife. If Ibrahim cannot get the blessing of the other two wives for this third marriage, he can elope to Thailand – Anwar style.

Anwar’s brother, Rani used to be declared a bankrupt. But now he is also a very wealthy man.

Wan Ismail, Anwar’s father-in-law, who took out his gun and chased Anwar away for eloping with his daughter, Azizah to Thailand, now loves Anwar very much. Wan Ismail was given 30 million shares in a public listed company worth RM90 million by Anwar.

39. ABUSE OF POWER

Imagine if Anwar becomes the Prime Minister. Not only Malaysia becomes poorer and his families become filthy rich but also all youths in the country will fall prey to his lust.

The Youth and Sports Ministry will be forced to line up youths, especially gays each week to fulfill Anwar’s lust. All Ministers will be fired except those who are willing to let Anwar sodomise them.

Syed Hussin Al-Attas (a writer who is not a professor) will never accept a job from Anwar since he is not a gay and not a person who likes to steal other people’s wives. It would be different if Anwar offers him lots of money. He will grab it for sure.

40. THE PEOPLE OF THE PROPHET LUT

According to the local news, there is an estimated 20,000 gays in the city of Kuala Lumpur. The number increases rapidly and it is worrisome that Kuala Lumpur will become the village of Sadum in Palestine where almost its entire inhabitants were homosexuals.

The people of Sadum totally ignored the warnings of the Prophet Lut that God the Almighty forbids their behavior. Finally, God the Almighty except the Prophet Lut and some of his followers destroyed Sadum and its entire people.

We are afraid that God will do the same to Malaysia if the rapid increase in homosexuals in Kuala Lumpur is uncontrollable.

Anwar is mightier that the people of Lut since he can have sex with both men and women.

41. DISLIKED BY THE PEOPLE

Anwar’s sex scandals, homosexuality, corruption, abuse of power, puppet to foreign powers and others, make him an unpopular leader. Anwar’s bad behaviors will lead to chaos not only within UMNO but also to the whole country.

42. MALAYS BECOME POORER

Before Anwar became the Finance Minister, there were many wealthy Malays. But soon after Anwar took over from Daim Zainuddin, the Malays become poor. For five years they waited patiently for the economy to recover but it never did. The Malays will become poorer, the longer Anwar is the Finance Minister. Only Anwar’s families are the ones getting richer and wealthier.

43. BLEAK FUTURE

Malaysia is well known worldwide due to the efforts of the Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. In a relatively short period, Malaysia will be transformed from a third world country to a developed country.

The Vision 2020 concept is making Malaysia achieve the developed country status. The people will be united and enjoy a high standard of living.

Can Malaysia achieve this vision if Anwar becomes the Prime Minister? The people predict that the country’s future will be bleak under Anwar’s administration.

44. STRATEGY

During this economic slowdown, Anwar still persists in lining up his political strategy to grab power by toppling Dr. Mahathir.

Anwar commands that all his generals and lieutenants must contest and win important posts in all UMNO divisions during the elections held recently.

Fortunately, the rules and regulations of the UMNO Supreme Council thwarted Anwar’s plans. As a result, Anwar’s staunch supporters did not hold many of these positions.

If Anwar’s strategy was successful, he plans to contest and removes Dr. Mahathir in the 1999 UMNO elections.

45. MONEY POLITICS

The immense wealth of Anwar and his men with their money politics will ensure their candidates win in UMNO elections.

In the election for UMNO Divisional Chief for Langkawi in 1995, Anwar’s cronies used money politics to ensure Sanusi Junid’s chances of wining was totally diminished. The influence of money politics was so strong that Sanusi lost to Anwar’s crony, Abu Bakar Taib, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Langkawi.

It was the same for Kota Melaka. Due to money politics by Anwar, Rahim Thamby Chik lost to Anwar’s crony.

46. EAT SQUATTING DOWN AND WITH CHOPSTICKS

Malay customs are usually associated with Islamic values. Anwar used to champion Islam when he was in ABIM.

But when he became a Minister, his Malay customs disappeared. Anwar was recorded squatting down while eating in public and even used chopsticks while eating with the Prime Minister.

47. MTEN (NEAC)

The Prime Minister, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, was too lenient with Anwar despite Anwar showing disrespect to him. Dr Mahathir had to find ways to control the country’s finances for orderly expenditure.

In order to prevent Anwar from spending public funds unnecessarily during the economic slowdown, the Prime Minister established the National Economic Action Council (NEAC) and appointed Daim Zainuddin as its executive director.

48. A DISGRACE TO ANWAR

Anwar should realize that the establishment of the NEAC clearly showed that his credibility of managing the country’s finances is gravely questionable. If Anwar is a man with high morals and principles, he should resign as Finance Minister.

49. DESTROYER

UMNO and Malay unity, which so far is very stable, will be destroyed if Anwar becomes Prime Minister replacing Dr Mahathir. This is based on the facts laid out in this book.

50. PROPHECY

Finally, the prophecy by Haji Sulaiman Palestine to Dr Mahathir before he passed away.

Haji Sulaiman Palestine was Anwar’s uncle. He was also an UMNO veteran who had full knowledge of Anwar’s secrets and weaknesses.

Due to this knowledge, he left a prophecy so that Dr Mahathir will not choose Anwar as Prime Minister because it will lead to the disintegration of UMNO.

Dr Mahathir was strongly advised by Haji Sulaiman Palestine to choose Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as Prime Minister if Dr Mahathir wishes to see UMNO in safe hands.

THE FILTH OF A DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER

Anwar is a homosexual through his same sex relationship with one of his victims who has the courage to come forward. He is Azizan Abu Bakar who used to be Anwar’s driver but is now the driver of Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Anwar has a secret affair with Shamsidar Taharin who is the wife of Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Anwar lied about Ummi Hafilda Ali (the sister of Mohamed Azmin Ali) about her having a crush on him through love letters sent to him solely for his political survival.

Anwar disgraced his own private secretary by having a scandal with Shamsidar Taharin without the knowledge of Shamsidar’s husband.

Anwar disgraced the whole family of Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Anwar abused his power to cover up all his lies, deceits and filth.

Anwar disgraced Islam by projecting an image of a devout Muslim by delivering sermons all over the place when in fact he is a devil in disguise.

Anwar does all sorts of devious things to threaten the credibility of UMNO’s leadership as the backbone of the nation without considering its implications to the development of the people and the country.

REASONS FOR REPORT SUBMITTED BY UMMI HAFILDA

To ask the Prime Minister’s wisdom to investigate every report submitted.

To ask for protection and security on behalf of the writer and the whole family.

To expose the truth for the sake of the party and country.

To overcome grave emotional pressure in the whole family when the case became public knowledge.

To ask the Prime Minister to save Mohamed Azmin Ali from continuing his service with a monster, Anwar Ibrahim.

To ask the Prime Minister to take appropriate action if the reports submitted are true to give a clear signal to other leaders not to abuse their power and position.

To stop the sexual acts against the order of nature which is forbidden by God.

Tapi kini…Abdullah memimpin mengikut hukum nafsu serakah, kepentingan bangsa diketepikan, kepentingan negara diabaikan.

Apa daaaa…..

Assalamualakum YBhg Tun

The people are waiting for this, n congrats for the statements which revealed the truth of Justice Ian. Thank you to Datuk Ibrahim Ali for the police report made.

What say u Zaid Ibrahim? Will u insists the Tribunal Commission to investigate the wrongdoings of Ian Chin to be set up? You really hates our beloved Tun don’t you?

Karpal Singh, will you lodge a police report pertaining to the wrongdoings of Ian? Sikap anti Islam awak sungguh menebal…serupa dengan Bush the Chief Terrorist.

What say u Ambiga the Great President of Bar Council? I challenge u to take up this case and insist your beloved Pak Lah to set up the tribunal…only then i will respect u.

Ayahnda Tun,

Saya percaya Tun menyimpan banyak “personal file” on the present and ex Ministers. Simpan “peluru-peluru” tu Tun. Saya percaya “Budak Biadap” Nazri Aziz (yang kata Tun bukan pemimpin negara lagi and who cares for him ! or to that effect dalam wawancara di TV) tak akan berani mencabar Tun.

Kami tetap menyokong Ayahnda Tun, kami perlukan pimpinan Tun, pimpinlah kami sepertimana Tun pimpin selama 22 tahun tu.

Wasallam.

Assllkm YBH Tun,

hahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahhahahahah………lucu….antara ras seronok membaca serangan balas Tun berserta dengan fakta dan kronologi peristiwa yang berlaku…….dengan membayangkan muka ian chin, datuk ambiga, zahid dan pak lah yang terkemut-kemut membaca ulasan Tun ni….Seingat saya pertama kali c babal Ian Chit ni fitnah Tun, bukan main bangga lagi minachi ambiga(maj. pguam) puji ian chin dia kata ian chit jujur dan cekap dan bla-bla-bla, C zahid tu pula senyum melebar…dengan muka macam “kegutan”(bahasa dusun) dalam melayunya muka macam tengah “high” todilah mendakwa macam pernah dengar hala-hal yang ian chit ceritalah….depa ni memang pendek akal……..yang seronoknya jawapan Tun yang bersahaja ni menampakan seperti mamat zahid, minachi ambiga dan ian chit ni bebudak tak cukup akal, padang permainan mereka tak setarap dengan padang permainan tun (dalam kelas yang berbeza lah tu…heheheh)

Saya ada baca kenyataan Karpal Sing….si mamat ni “play save” dia kata mesti beri peluang dan hak kpd TDM pertahankan diri dan Ian Chit mesti berani buat kenyataan di mluar dan jangan gunakan imunity mahkamah membuat tuduhan….heheheh…karpal mungkin dah nampak kot….so playsafe lah dia………

Assalammualaikum Tun,

Thank you for providing us with further explanation as you promised.

Based on what is happening in the judiciary, both lawyers and judges think they are above the law. Such notion is supported by the current government with their unilateral decision to award an ex-gratia payment to five retired and expelled judges.

As you said, when Cin J opened his mouth and said in open court that you had issued a “veiled” threat to judges, Zaid Ibrahim and Ambiga took it on face value and demand an investigation. However, when there were statements from a serving and retired judges that said that they were together with Chin during the “boot camp”, both Zaid and Ambiga did not make any attempt to retract their statements, let alone apologise to you.

As some have already comment that judges are human after all and no human is perfect. However, judges should remain to be a judge and not taking the law into their own hands by making selected statements or judgements for their own benefits.

Karpal: Beri Dr M peluang bela diri

TING!! TING !! LOCENG BARU DIMULAKAN DENGAN PENJELASAN TUN INI..RAKYAT MALAYSIA MAHUKAN KEBENARAN,TAHNIAH TERUSKAN TUN..

Dear Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, thank you for this detailed post. Sometimes I wonder what is the basis for the law enforcement agency to decide a case of priority.

There is now a police report lodge on this Ian Chin.

Let us see as to whether it is given a priority…

Salam Tun,

My view is simple. Directly to Justice Ian Chin, “Just shut up!”

To me and maybe most Malaysians, Ian Chin is a coward…. he should have brought up his grievances, if any, at the earliest opportunity but he did not. Why wait now? There must be some “udang sebalik batu” and maybe he wants to be famous during Pak Lah era.
By zaki_77 on June 27, 2008 10:04 PM

ssr, the the letter in Malaysiakini that you refer to is an opinion and NOT fact and Batman is entitled to have his opinions and share them with others. The so-called ‘22 fiascos’ you speak of are neither proven nor can you substantiate them with hard evidence.

If you feel that this blog is deceptive, then please provide your evidence and we will judge accordingly.

Most Malaysians feel that far from “destroying the fabric of the society”, Tun took it out of the stagnant rut it was in and gave it the dynamism so that society within Malaysia can be recognised and developed towards an economic giant in the world. It is people like you who ignore the progress that Malaysia has made under Tun and get sucked into opposition propaganda.

Race relations in Malaysia are coming to a head now under AAB’s pathetic government because there seems to be a no-holds barred mentality to disparage each others race and religion openly. This is the reason why ‘democracy’ is not a system that suits every country as it has to be moulded to national needs and social demography. There is not a single nation in the world that has a harmonious ethnic, racial and religious balance and tolerance (where the native majority have given so much to welcome the minorities) as has Malaysia.

I think you have been brought under the illusion of western liberalism and capitalism’s exploitations. Be grateful for what you have and work towards a better Malaysia because it is only when you lose something do you value it’s worth.

Dear Tun

Political Biased Cheap Fraud Judge

Here what Ian chin replied to Tun : A Devil Incarnate
A devil incarnate? This statement made by him is very unbecoming of a High Court judge. I read Tun reply to Ian Chin’s accusations last week and not one word in that article could justify the use of such derogatory words as ‘devil incarnate’. People might say that he was only doing the ‘right thing’ and only ‘highlighting his personal grievances’. But that’s just it. He is not a common man with ordinary standing. He is a High Court Judge. A judge of all people, should be above anyone upmanship. Why didn’t he just make a police report? Or maybe even *gasp* a statutory declaration? This how arrogant judge does under present arrogant weak government.

When at least 3 highly distinguished judges have come out in the open to deny ever hearing Tun issued out threats to judges and also even DSAI couldn’t remember ever attending the closing ceremony of judges’ conference, Ian Chin’s reputation was beginning to be at stake. So there is no wonder that Ian Chin would do something any normal, desperate people would do when backed up to the wall; continue attacking while side stepping the original issue. What was the original issue brought forth by Ian Chin himself? That Tun had issued out a ‘thinly veiled’ threat to judges, which Tun had denied in his blog. But has Ian Chin rebuked it with any other proof of evidence? From his latest salvo, no. To me, Ian Chin’s revelation is beginning to sound like a CHEAP FRAUD… Instead of giving us some more evidence, he lamented on how demeaning for a judge of his stature to endure such embarrassing moments during that course. What is it with judges in Malaysia? They are way above their heads sometimes. Have they forgotten the word ’humility’? When even a prime minister can wash his own plates and attend all the necessary itinerary of that course, Ian Chin felt he is too high class to suffer this ‘demeaning’ activity.

Ian Chin also took offence with Tun in stating that there was a police report made against the judge for hiding his past when hearing a certain case in Sibu as :

“Dr Mahathir, by waving the supposed police report the way he did, lent support to the general held view that this prime minister kept a docket on everyone useful but with a skeleton in their cupboard so that he can manipulate then on pain of disclosing the skeleton,” he said in a lengthy defence against the ex-PM’s remarks.

In my view, he is trying to exploit this general belief to wave that supposed police report to get the public to believe that I have committed something unlawful which he is privy to and which the public is not unaware so that my integrity could be put under suspicion to make what I have revealed unbelievable.

Wow. Okay then, why afraid of a police report? It wasn’t even TDM who made the police report. He was merely stating a fact that if Ian Chin is having a ‘holier than thou’ attitude and accusing the former prime minister with unsubstantiated (and still is) fact, then he should be prepared with all the proof and evidence. And, to strengthen his defense, Tun included a fact in his blog that Judge Ian Chin is not free of any perceived misdeeds as well (with the existence of the police report). Making allegations based on opinions is TOO EASY. Anyone can do that. But making a public accusations without any proof is highly risky. Even a judge should know that! What a cheap way to use present politic in weak government to gain Heroic reputation by slashing Tun.
Therefore, Ian Chin, in saying Tun lied to the whole world, made another accusation without researching the true story. A judge making judgments without seeking further truth? Now that is SCARY indeed. And for him to require sympathy from the public by saying Tun exposed the police report made against him is so petty. Does he think the public must never know about a police report made against him?

This where the March 25, 2008 judgment made by the Federal Court against Ian Chin’s High Court judgement in the Zara Sdn Bhd and Benita Sdn Bhd suits.

“Without evidence or justification, the learned Judge wrongly held that DSK made these decisions. We find that the learned Judge’s findings were based on unjustified inferences, speculation, his own preconceived impressions and prejudice.

“We find the learned Judge’s attack on the credibility of SSA (Syed Salem Bukhary, the younger brother of DSK - who represented his incapacitated brother) as unwarranted and does not stand up to examination having regard to the extremely prejudiced view he held about SSA’s conduct as apparent in his judgment.”

From Ian chin enter politic in party Berjaya tell he had motive personal agenda to fight for, after lost 2 time as contested. he later promoted to high court judge seem unfit to rehear the above case, now he trying to favor AAB new shape up juristically policy to regain it integrity tarnished of police report filed against him.We may never know the true intention of Ian Chin’s original revelation. But in the absence of any substantive evidence from him, this accusation will only be another ploy to smear Tun reputation. Alas, it would just be another poor attempt to discredit him. Remember folks, no evidence, don’t say much. However, don’t let this judge make use politic favor influence to rebuke his name and integrity cover up for his personal agenda using Tun as scapegoat on his present Sibu politic case.

WATCH OUT YOU UNGRATEFULL

Assalam mualaikum,
Yang Berbahagia Tun, sehat-sehat hendaknya.

To All those who are waiting and would like to see Tun be dragged to court or even have a slightess inkling that he will

be thrown to jail, well folks you will be in for a big surprise.

All Reports at Tun’s Disposal

As a former Prime Minister, all Reports are at his disposal, so does the present Prime Minister. You name it. Special

branch reports, be it Police or Military, are all ready to be use, as when and where necessary. Some will be use in the

name of national interest. In Tun’s case, I will call it in the name of Malay and Malaysian interest.

See how Tun silence all opponents. For the pass couple of months, if one care to observe that the following happened :-

1. Tun Musa and Shahril
They were both kept silent when Tun expose on how Tun Musa’s sister went to see him (Tun Mahathir) “pagi-pagi”, it should be read as “pagi-pagi buta”, and begged Tun Mahathir for his approval to help Shahril gain entry to UMNO. And more will be exposed latter by Tun if they try to belittle him in any manner, for the Rakyat to know the
whole story of their doing. After the event both of them are no longer seen to be “kurang ajar”

2. Parlimen Lobby Guard
Remember how Tun silence the man who look after the Parlimen lobby, I think that is his actual position. After Tun repeatedly saying that the Guard’s boss allows him to be the way he is now, so to speak “kurang ajar”, then a long silence until today.

3. DS Samy’s Folly
Remember how Tun turn DS Samy Vellu into a “dust” after Tun threaten to expose more on how DS Samy manipulate the Indian community.Palanavial was bribe into saying something that Tun was from Southern India. Out of courtesy to DS Samy, Palanavial obliged hoping he could replace DS Samy one of this days.

4. Chin J Case
Now this case. I would say, hard luck to those hoping that Tun will be shaken and silenced, since all the hard evidence is at his disposal.

Dato Syed Kecik(DSK) is closedly related, I mean very very close indeed, and beloved to one of the most prominent businessman in Malaysia, which happen to be Tun’s very loyal former “General”.

Y.Bhg Tun,

Persoalannya kenapa mereka jadi begini. Jawapannya mudah sahaja.. iaitu bila mereka sendiri membuat perbandingan EMPAT TAHUN zaman awal Tun memerintah dengan 4 Tahun Zaman awal Pak Lah.

I’m from across the Causeway. I’m in my late 30s. I’ve been following the events in Malaysia since my school days. What triggers my fascination about M’sia and it’s politics is your goodself,Tun. I read your books, the news articles about you and listen to your speeches. As I grew up and become more mature, I learnt to appreciate your views and consider you a great statesman of world standing.

I think Malaysia urgetly need a savior who is the like of you, albeit a younger version. I’m not a racist but I think the concept of Ketuanan Melayu should be uphold as the Malays are the originator of the land. It will ensure that the Malay culture withstand the test of time. At the same time, the Malays themselves must be forward thinking, progressive and strong to earn the respect of the world. The Malay citizen from other countries need Malaysia to have that image so that they we have a model to look up to.

The current state of affairs in M’sia really concerns me. As an outsider, I understand its not right for me to meddle in M’sian politics. But I just want the Malays in Malaysia to know that their influece are being eroded day by day. PM Abdullah, please listen to the voices of your citizen who demand for change. Those in Umno with Tun Dr Mahathir calibre, please rise to the challenge, your country needs you at this critical time.

May Allah bless you all.

ian chin looks like an idiot now.
By sherry on June 28, 2008 12:46 AM

Tun,

Bila menggulung ucapan penutup Presiden UMNO dua tiga tahun lalu, dia pernah membaca sajak atau puisi kira2 separuh dari teks ucapan beliau, sebab dia tak tahu apa lagi nak cakap… begini lah kualiti PM kita…no quality no class.

Abdullah Badawi, please step down immediately!!!!

Hi Tun,

YAB Tun Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad bukan Serupa Abdullah Badawi lahhh.

Wassallam

bluemoon criticism.
You are wrong Tun , you are the BEST we ever had and
we hope you are ready for a political comeback because
you can influence or pass down information to us but
without a leader on the ground, what can ppl do?

Assalamualaikum, Tun.
Mengapa sekarang semua orang ingin bersuara cerita lama?

Contoh seperti 7Eleven, pam-pam minyak, kiosk majalah dll.. Kompeni-kompeni besar nak ke lagi iklan bila dah makin kurang orang baca suratkabo.. Aku sendiri pun dulu hari-hari mesti tiga keping aku beli.. Sekarang ni satu pun aku tak beli.. Baik beli minyak… Lagi ada pekdah..

4. Ayahanda Tun, apa anakanda nak buat ni.. Kami dah bosan sesangat ni.. Berikanlah kami anakanda-anakanda Ayahanda suatu permainan untuk kami mainkan mengikut rentak dan lenggok Ayahanda.. Kami asyik duduk depan skrin je dengan Ayahanda… Kami pun nak bermain dilaman bersama-sama Ayahanda..

Agaknya Pak Lah and the gang satu hari berapa kali dia bukak blog ni.. “KERIS MAKAN TUAN”…

PRESS STATEMENT TUN DR MAHATHIR

1. On June 10, The Borneo Post reported Judge Ian Chin’s “explosive judicial disclosure”, about how judges were threatened and sent to Boot Camps by the former Prime Minister.

2. He made these revelations prior to hearing a case, apparently to avoid being accused of bias.

3. What he did not reveal is that there is a police report against him for breaches of Judge’s Code of Ethics in hearing a case in which he has a personal interest. He presided on a case involving Dato Syed Kechik without revealing that he believed Syed Kechik was responsible for detaining his father and brother 20 years before.

4. Chin joined Party Berjaya and lost twice.  One of the objectives listed in Party Berjaya’s manifesto was to expel Syed Kechik from Sabah.  (Syed Kechik akan dikeluarkan dari Sabah).  As a party member he must know Berjaya’s hatred for Syed Kechik.  This alone should have resulted in him excusing himself from hearing the case.

5. However, both the Claimants and Defendants in the hearing in 1999 did not seek to change the judge, believing that his being a Party Berjaya candidate would not affect his judgement.

6. It was only later that the defendants learnt about the detentions of his father and brother by the Tun Mustafa Government and that Ian Chin believed Syed Kechik was instrumental in getting his father and brother arrested.

7. John R Cherryman Q.C., lawyer for Dato Syed Kechik (DSK) in a written opinion after Chin J’s ruling of September 2, 2004, said inter alia “Looking at these matters in retrospect there emerges a pattern redolent of bias”.

8. Cherryman went on to say; “Knowing what we do now, the inference was that the Judge (Chin J) was throughout determined to have revenge against DSK (and corporate Defendants) for his (Dato Syed Kechik’s) alleged part in the detention of his family members.

9. When Party Berjaya won the State elections in April 1976, the Berjaya Government cancelled Syarikat Banita’s (belonging to Syed Kechik) timber license and on 1st October 1976 published Gazette Notification No 671 on compulsory acquisition of the whole of Zara Project Land of 2,452.74 acres also belonging to Syed Kechik.

10. On 7th September 1977 Banita filed a civil suit against the State Government and on 28th September 1977 Zara filed for the adjudication of compensation claim in respect of compulsory acquisition of its land for “public purpose”.

11. The Sabah Government through the Sabah Foundation, Suiswan Sdn Bhd and Seranum Sdn Bhd filed counter claims against DSK, Zara Sdn Bhd and Banita Sdn Bhd.

12. For about 20 years the Plaintiffs and their Solicitors went to “sleep”.  No court action was taken.

13. Then on October 29th 1996 Justice Tee Ah Siang heard the case involving Originating Summons No 69 of 1977.  The judge ordered the payment of RM40,920,011.00 in capital compensation by the State Government to Zara Sdn Bhd with 6 % per annum interest from 20th December 1976 to date of settlement.

14. Then on 6th January 1997, Chin J granted ex-parte Mareva Injunction Orders against the Defendants in suit 351 and 352 in response to the Plaintiffs (Sabah Government) application.

15. The very next day Chin J instructed Registrar to set hearing of Suit 351 on 9th January 1997, i.e. three days after he granted injunction against the Defendants.

16. On 9th April 1997 he delivered judgement on Strike Out Actions, refusing to grant order in favour of Defendants (Zara Sdn Bhd).

17. On 5th February 1999 a joint hearing of Suits 351 and 352 was held before Chin J at the Kota Kinabalu High Court.  On 6th September 1999 Chin J delivered his judgement in which he stated on pgs 122-125:
“Yes, DSK was from West Malaysia sent to Sabah supposedly to help Sabah politically.  Unfortunately, he introduced to Sabah, especially to the then politicians of Sabah, a way to get rich, very rich at that, quickly by way which I have already concluded are wrong in law.”

18. Chin J also said in his judgement that “DSK wielded too much power for anyone to believe that any bureaucrat would oppose him”. He concluded with dismissing with cost the application of the 2nd Defendant to strike out the injunction.

19. It became obvious that Chin J was biased against DSK. Yet he did not reveal his father’s and brother’s arrest during the time of Tun Mustafa’s Government and his belief that Syed Kechik who was adviser to Tun Mustafa was responsible for this arrest when hearing the case concerned.

20. Following this a police report was made by Pengarah, Zara Sdn Bhd on June 16, 2005 on “Salahlaku Hakim Datuk Ian Chin Hon Chong”. (refer to salinan report and 1st page of police report)

21. The report went from Police to Chief Justice Malaysia to Ministers, to the Anti Corruption Agency, to Suhakam (Human Rights Commission) and even to the Prime Minister. No action was taken by any of them.

22. In the meanwhile the cases (DSK, Zara and Banita) went to the Federal Court and a judgement was made on March 25, 2008 and this is what the Federal Court has to say of Chin J’s High Court judgement in the Zara and Banita suits.

23.  “Without evidence or justification, the learned Judge wrongly held that DSK made these decisions. We find that the learned Judge’s findings were based on unjustified inferences, speculation, his own preconceived impressions and prejudice…” and;

“We find the learned Judge’s attack on the credbility of SSA (Syed Salem Al-Bukhary , the younger brother of DSK - who represented his incapacitated brother) as unwarranted and does not stand up to examination having regard to the extremely prejudiced view he held about SSA’s conduct as apparent in his judgment.”

24.  This Federal Court judgement is likely to come in support of the alleged “Salahlaku” by Chin J in the Police Report by Zara Sdn Bhd.

25. Action is now more likely to be taken against Chin J for breach of the ethical code of judges when he did not reveal his personal interest in the case he was hearing and not recuse himself.

26. His “explosive judicial disclosures” of June 7, 2008 came shortly after the Federal Courts judgment on Mar 25th 2008 and appears to be a desperate attempt ro deflect the legitimate complain against him by the Defendants of Civil Suits Nos 351 and 352 of 1979 which the Federal Courts’ decision seem to support.

27. The reference to the threats by the former Prime Minister and his being sent to a Boot Camp had nothing to do with the case he was about to hear or his previous hearing of a case in which he had personal interest. Refer to statement by Tan Sri Abu Talib Othman, former Attorney-General and current chairman of Suhakam.

28. It looks as if he was trying to curry favour with the Government by demonising the previous Prime Minister whom everyone knows is the bete noir  of the present Government.

29. And he was quite right because Government Ministers and the Prime Minister rushed to accept his story as absolutely true. But other judges had refused to endorse his statement about threats by the Prime Minister casting doubt on its veracity. He now “slams a fellow judge in court” but he has not been able to condemn the other judges who also disagreed with him. The Boot Camp was of course not a Boot Camp at all. It was Kursus Tata Negara which had been attended by thousands of civil servants, business executives and politicians, without any complaints.

30. It will be interesting to see whether the Government would set up a tribunal to examine the charges against Ian Chin J.

31. I suspect that it will not. And so this judge who obviously breached The Judges Code of Ethics by “being a judge in his own cause” will simply get away with his unethical behaviour while presiding over a case.

32. The public should question how a person such as Ian Chin J should have been recommended to become a judge. I cannot remember recommending him. He is a disgrace to the judiciary and to the legal profession.

33.  Now Chin has changed his accusation of “veiled threat” to “the former premier did not say he would remove judges through a tribunal in those exact words but conveyed the threat by “dropping words to that effect here and there”. I wonder what the words are. He will now be thinking and cooking up more stories.

34. This reflects the character of the man who presides over our courts and dispenses “justice”.  He makes use of his position as a judge and the courts to take revenge for alleged actions against members of his family.

Petronas Malaysia - www.CHEDET.com

Certain members of Parliament are focusing on Petronas, apparently trying to divert attention from Government over the thoughtless increase in oil prices. If I am not mistaken this is a prelude to appointing a 4th floor candidate as head of Petronas as they did when removing Tengku Mahaleel of Proton.

There is also an attempt to blame me for “advising” the Government on removing the subsidy. I would like to clarify again that although I am called Adviser to Petronas, I do not advise at all, least of all to the Government.

Once in a while I get a briefing from Tan Sri Hassan Marican, the President of Petronas. I also get the annual report which is available to the public. My main job is that of a post box. I pass on to Tan Sri Hassan numerous requests and proposals which people send to me. I have absolutely no say in the dec
